Caution
CAUTION: Cheap tint

As you search for a window tinter you will find many who offer a $99
tint special. We call them the grape soda window tinters. They have
earned their nickname because after a short time their film turns
purple and bubbles. The next time your in traffic or walking in a
parking lot look around and I'm sure you will see a few of these
purple, bubbled, peeling, faded and distorted tint jobs.
CAUTION: Mobile tinting

It is recommended to do window tinting indoors. Window film is like a
big magnet for dust and dirt much like scotch tape. When installing
window film outdoors you run the risk of the breeze blowing dust, dirt,
pollen, love bugs, mosquitoes, and other debris into your film. We do
offer mobile window tinting, but recommend tinting your vehicle in a
garage. Window tinting should only be done outdoors if there is no
wind and there is moisture in the air to keep the dust down. You will
find many tinters willing to tint your vehicle outside, but you will find
that these are the tinter's who work out of the trunk of their car and
have no store location. AKA floating window tinters.
CAUTION: Insurance & License

There are many Orlando area window tinters working with no
insurance, license and of course their not paying any taxes. This is
another reason some window tinter's can afford to do cheap window
tinting. The Tint Man Mobile Window Tinting carries a 2million dollar
insurance policy. Our insurance is through State Farm policy #
98-TN-3047-6 Our Seminole County business license # is
09-00013418 and Orange county is 99-381098
CAUTION: Floating tinters

Floating window tinters are window tinters who usually stay in a
town from one season to 3 years. These Orlando window tinters are
usually the tinters working out of the trunk of there car or the back of
their truck with no store front. They use very cheap tint and usually
operate without a license or insurance. They will do window tinting in
Orlando then move on to Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami until they have
burnt all their bridges doing window tinting in Florida. Then they will
move on to another state and start window tinting in California or
some other state. Always check with the Better Business Bureau
about a tint company you are considering. Even if their not a member,
the BBB will have a profile of a legitimate business. That profile will
include how long they have been in business and in what town. They
will also be able to let you know if there have been any complaints
about that window tinting business. If there is no record then they are
not a legitimate business. There is a link to the BBB on our home
page.
